Longest day yet

just shy of 12 hours today.  whew.  The urgent part is almost over, though (our deadline is 3/1), so I can turn this over to someone else and get back to less urgent/emergency things.

We were both tired tonight.  Since I got home so late, I made my own dinner.  After dinner, I played LOTRO and watched Property Brothers and Restaurant Impossible.  Then I went to bed.

Tomorrow at least I don't have a meeting as soon as I walk in the door.  I'll take my improvements where I can get them :)

Hockey Night

Went to the Wild game tonight - that's why I had to leave on time today (and of course, I didn't).  I swear, I spend more time meetings about the work that needs to be done than actually doing the work.  Can't get the work done if I'm in a meeting talking about it.

I'll probably head in really early tomorrow to get work done before the marathon meetings talking about the work that needs to be done.

Monday (day 8)

8 full days of work in a row.  Actually more than a full day today.  Left work at 630, had another conference call at 8 that lasted till 930ish.

Didn't have much dinner.  I'm thinking my body is trying to get sick, which is never fun.  Played LOTRO for a little bit, watched Triple-D and a Property Brothers and that was about it.

At least tomorrow, I don't have a meeting right as soon as I walk in the door.

More of the same

Another day at work.  Little shorter this time - 9-430.  Watched CSI NY and America Unearthed during/after dinner, then played LOTRO for a bit, watching another Dirty Jobs.

Tomorrow, I start the day with a meeting as soon as I walk in the door, and I'm sure it'll be non stop after that.

Saturday

same as yesterday.  Worked from 9-630.

Stopped by the store to pick up a few groceries, and a couple of things for dinner.  After dinner, I played LOTRO and watched several episodes of Enterprise.

I get to work again tomorrow.

Friday

See "Thursday", except it snowed.  We got about 5-6 inches.  At least it was all fluffy stuff. Still had to shovel it though.

We had a simple pasta dish for dinner and watched Elementary and Person of Interest.  Afterwards, I played LOTRO and watched Ancient Aliens.

I 'get to' work tomorrow, most likely all day.  Lucky me.

Thursday

"See Yesterday"

Well, maybe not quite.  Dentist visit went fine.  Snow hasn't arrived yet.  Beyond that, today was pretty much a copy of yesterday.  Chinese for dinner tonight (leftovers), CSI on TV, played LOTRO after dinner - watched Restaurant Impossible.

Tomorrow is Friday.  One interesting thing about her new job is that she gets paid every other week from me, so every Friday is payday now.

Still cold

Supposed to warm up tomorrow and then snow 3-5 inches.  I really don't want to shovel again, but I guess I get to.

Work was more of the same.  We had chinese delivered for dinner, and watched the last Rachel vs Guy and then Zero Hour, which was somewhat interesting.

After that, I played LOTRO and watched 3 episodes of Dirty Jobs before heading to bed.

First thing in the morning: dentist.  woohoo.

Cold Snap

That's what' they're calling it.  I'm just calling it cold.

Work was almost all tax project today.  We had leftovers for dinner and watched Hawaii 5-0 and Lost Girl, and I played around a little with my phone, connecting it to the home network, adding a comic book tracker, and a couple of game.s

I'm ready for spring.  I'm so tired of ice and cold.

Washington's Birthday

Finally - I waited from 9 till 3 for my new phone.  It arrived at 3, the end of their business day.  While waiting, I watched a bunch of comic book movies: Judge Dredd, Dick Tracy, and Green Lantern.

We had leftovers for dinner, and I messed with the new phone, including activating it (I had to call Sprint.  I couldn't do it online).  We watched Mankind Decoded (2 episodes) and Bones.  Afterwards, I played LOTRO for a bit, and Triple D.

Then I went to bed.  Tomorrow is back to the testing planning for this big project.  I'll be so glad when it's over and I can go back to my work.

Sunday

Stayed home today.  Played AC2 in the morning, amidst rounds of laundry.  Played LOTRO later in the afternoon, then watched CSI NY, Rachel vs Guy and Pioneer Woman.

After she went to bed, I played a little more LOTRO and some Eve and watched the next 3 episodes of Enterprise.

Tomorrow should be interesting - I get to have the day off waiting for the delivery of my new cell phone - a Samsung Galaxy S III.

Saturday

Didn't sleep in, really.  Played Eve and LOTRO in the morning, then we ran some errands.  Comic Book store, Barnes &Noble, Walmart, Trader Joes.  Oh, and she got a haircut while we were out.

We got home and watched America Unearthed, CSI, Person of Interest, and Elementary.

Tomorrow looks to be another quiet day, though I may log in to work and do a few tasks to help prep for testing our tax changes on Tuesday.

Fried-day

It's been a long week.  Again today, most of the day was spent on working on tax reporting issues.  Finding accounts to test our changes with, meetings, etc.

I was beat when I got home.  We had leftovers for dinner, watched a little tv, but not much, then after she went to bed, I played Eve and watched Ancient Aliens, a couple of Storage Wars Texas, and some Property Brothers.

It's cold again outside, so we may or may not go out tomorrow.

Tiring day

Long day at work.  We had BLTs for dinner, watched Lost Girl, then I played LOTRO for a little, and watched the first episode of Enterprise.

Called it an early night.

Tuesday

Same old routine.  I did get a small sense of accomplishment late in the day while I was working on a process to create a file to send to the IRS for 1099 data.  Stretched my skills and my knowledge to get the data formatted the way the IRS wants.

We watched Bones and Hawaii 5-0 during dinner tonight (smoked sausage, kraut, and fried potatoes).  Afterwards, I played LOTRO and watched an episode of Ancient Aliens.

Then it was time for bed.

Monday

Started the day by shoveling the gift the snowplows left, so I could get out of the driveway.

Work went by fairly quickly.  Dinner was simple sandwiches.  We watched 3 episodes of Mankind Decoded, then I played LOTRO for a little while.  Hopefully we don't get any more snow this week.  I'm already tired of shoveling :)

Day of Not-Rest

Lots of Laundry today, as well as dishes, as well as shoveling. Again.  According to the news, this is the 5th Sunday in a row with snowfall.  This mess was wet and heavy tho.

Supposed to get some more overnight.  I hope not enough to make me get up early and shovel.

I did play LOTRO on the computer today.  Also watched most of Superman II.  We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Errand Day

Got our errands started early enough in the day today.  Ulta for some lipstick, the Sprint store to find out that they didn't want to order my phone and just told me to go online, Trader Joe's for groceries, Walmart for more groceries, and the gas station for gas and a car wash.  My car really needed the wash with all the road salt and junk.

We went to White Castle for supper, watched America Unearthed, a couple cooking shows and the CSI two parter from this week.  After that I played LOTRO and Eve before bed, which watching a couple old episodes of Property Brothers.

The storm is supposed to start tomorrow morning, so we will probably just stay home, do dishes and laundry, and watch some more TV to catch up.

Finally Friday

A good chunk of the day at work spent on the same issue as the last 2 weeks.

We had leftovers for dinner, watched America Unearthed from last week, Person of Interest and Elementary.  Afterwards, I played LOTRO and Eve.

Tomorrow is errand day.  We're supposed to get a nasty storm starting Saturday night, so we're going to 'stock up', so to speak (not bread, eggs, or milk - we have all those) :)

We might even see a movie, if we time it right.

Thursday

More like 'sore' day.  I ache all over from shuffling and moving those boxes and all the other junk.  Work was ok.  A little frustrating, but there might be an end to the frustrations soon (probably to be replaced with others).

After work we ran to the pharmacy and to Target for groceries.  We also got dinner there - some fried chicken and mashed potatoes.  We watched Lost Girl and Pioneer Woman during dinner, then I played a little LOTRO and Eve before bed.

More snow

during the day. I decided NOT to shovel it this time.  it should melt in the next day or so.

Learned that after all that work, we don't need the marriage certificate.  We can use our tax return from last year to prove we are married.  So, it needed to be done (the semi-cleanup of the basement) and it still needs to be found, but at least not right now.  I'm sure when we find it, we'll be smacking our foreheads...

and buying a picture frame :)

Uffda

took about 2 hours to open every box we've put in the basement before 2010, move some around, and get really sweaty and dirty.  Didn't find the marriage license.  Found my old Super Nintendo, my baby scrapbook, my Columbine Choir LP...but not the thing I was looking for.

tomorrow we'll try in the office again.  there were several boxes we didn't look in yesterday where it might be hiding.

Guess we should be like most people and frame it, huh?

Monday again

That didn't take long.  Busy day at work, and found out we have to find our marriage certificate before I can go on her insurance.

We get until Wed night to find it.  After almost 20 years, and countless moves...I have no idea where it would be.

It's going to be a long couple of nights.  We did sneak in Elementary tonight over dinner, but that was it.  Dug through the filing cabinet, an old lockbox in the closet.  Next is boxes in the basement.  15 years worth, roughly.

Ugh.

Super Sunday

Played AC2 and Eve in the morning, then we decided not to run any errands.  I didn't have to shovel, so we just stayed inside all day.

Watched the commercials during the game, and that was about the extent of our day.  Tomorrow, back to work.

Half-done Day

Got up, shoveled, spread ice-melt everywhere, then played Eve until time to go...which was much later than I hoped.  We did manage to visit:

We didn't get to go to the movies. It had started to snow again, so the roads were getting slick.  We just came home.  I played LOTRO and she watched some tv.  Tomorrow we're talking about more errands, including movies. maybe.

I'm pretty sure the day is going to start with shoveling again, tho. :(

Day Off

Well, I had plans for doing some running around, but since it was sooooo cold (I think it got to 1 by 4pm), I just stayed inside and tried to stay warm.  I watched all 3 Beverly Hills Cop movies, and played LOTRO. 

We had chinese delivered for dinner, and we watched Elementary.  I played some more after that.

We'll do all of our running around tomorrow.  Supposed to be almost 20!
