(like I had anything to do with the flight!)
We arrived at MSP early enough to have lunch at Chik-fil-A, probably the only time we'll get to have that in Minnesota for at least another year. The flight was fine, getting the rental car was smooth (used the kiosk instead of waiting in line), eventually found the motel (yay for the iphone and the mapping feature). I have to say that the motel6 we stay at in Avoca has us spoiled. Here, we get a single queen, a musty smelling room, no wi-fi (well, we can pay 2.99 a night), no pool. For the same price as the Avoca one. Well, it was better than spending 100 bucks a night!
We stopped at a place called 99. I had a panko encrusted cod, she had the plain old fish and chips. Both were good, but way too much.
After dinner we swung by Walmart and picked up a few snacks for the room, and an extension cord for all the electronics (there's only one plug in the whole room).
Tomorrow, we're going downtown Providence, park at the big mall, and walk around downtown, hoping to see the Oldest Baptist Church in America, and other sights. We're going to Iggy's for dinner with my friend, then we'll see what's up after that!
