That was fun...

Left work early to work more on the sidewalks.  I got at least the entrances to the walks cleared and the front and back steps, but the sidewalks themselves still have a lot of packed snow.

I also cleared the ice off the dish.  That was rough - i used a broom to get the snow off, but that made it worse, and I had no signal. So then I had to climb a big ladder, not just a stepladder, and bang it to get the ice off.

That worked, and we watched Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow.  The receiver reset itself during all that, so now it's got to redownload the guide.  Hopefully it does that before tomorrow, so it knows when to record shows!

It's still cold

Left for work, it was -1.  Came home, it was -3.  I didn't go out and shovel the little bit of snow we got yesterday, though I do need to go out and knock the snow off the satellite dish - some of the channels aren't coming in that great, and I need my Ancient Aliens fix! :)

Tivo 2

Well, the replacement works :)  Except that I have to wait 24 hours or so for it to reactivate, so all I could really do was watch live football - the Broncos for the most part.  Watched a little tv in the living room with dinner, but today was another lazy play on the computer keep warm day.

Not looking forward to going out in the cold to get to work tomorrow.  Supposed to warm up and be near normal by the weekend.  We'll see.

Tivo

I think the Tivo in the study has bitten the dust.  It won't get past the 'powering up' screen.  I think I should be able to swap it for the one upstairs that we deactivated.  I hope so!  I really liked taping my own shows in the study, and watching them while playing games.

Other than that, it was a quiet cold day - we stayed in the whole day.  Who wants to go outside when it's 3?

Supposed to warm up and snow tomorrow.  Warm up, as in '15'.  Amazing what we think 'warm' is  :)

Working from home

working from home has its advantages - fewer distractions, and no commute with the crazy drivers in the snow and ice.

a drawback is that i have to actually make my lunch, as opposed to just running across the street to a fast food joint.

I do have to head in to the office tomorrow, tho.  sigh.

Snow!

A bit here, maybe an inch, but up north up to a foot.  Good thing we didn't stay the weekend up there!

Of course it took me an hour to get home tonight (for a 20 minute drive), so that wasn't fun.

We watched a couple more Sleepy Hollow episodes tonight.  We're catching up!

Sleepy Hollow

Played DDO again this morning, and since she wasn't feeling well, we didn't go to the movies.  Instead, I played some EVE, surfed the web a little, and then around dinner time we watched 4 episodes of Sleepy Hollow.

I played LOTRO a little after that, but then it was pretty much bedtime and planning on going back to work tomorrow.  Joy.
