Rain, Rain

...Go away!  I need to mow, and I don't want to mow a swamp!  Plus I'm on call for work, and I really don't want to have to worry about that and getting ticketed for having grass that's too tall.  :(

Movie

Saw Hunger Games today - pretty good adaptation of the book.  Would have been better without the chatterboxes in the rows behind me.  Caught up on some of our shows after that, and that was it.

Still getting adjusted to the interrupted schedule.  This week is going to be....interesting.

Comics

Next Sat is Comic Book day, but today I added a bunch more to my collection.  That was about the exciting extent of my day :)

Chaos

I imagine that's what it's going to be like around here for a while, till the mother in law gets settled in for her visit.  I know MY routine is going to be in tatters :)

Sometimes TiVo is dumb

I set up a season pass to record Storage Wars - I've started to like that show - and it recorded a bunch on Tuesday...and deleted them.  A bunch more on Wednesday...and deleted them.  I noticed because my 'deleted items jumped up to like 66 items.  Fortunately, I could undelete them and watch them (which I did, but still.  Give me a chance to watch them before you delete them, TiVo!

Speed Demons

Why do people speed on the freeway?  Driving home from work today, I take both the freeway and a highway to avoid all the construction close to the house.  I drive between 0 and 5 above the speed limit, and yet I'm passed by people doing 15 or more above.  Why?  What's so important that they have to 'get there now'?

I've always wondered that, and haven't yet found an answer.

Movie

Went to see Wrath of the Titan after work today - pretty good.  Didn't see it in 3D.  Traditional D was good enough.

Came home and was going to play on the computer, but started feeling pretty ill, so I'm just going to lie down.  I hope this passes.  I have a lot of work to do tomorrow.
