Great

The compressor stopped working today while we were at the movies.  86 inside when we got home, 86 5 hours later.

I'll be calling the repair company to see what they did!

We did buy a reversible fan for the bedroom, so we can blow hot air out during the day, and cooler air in at night.

We did go see the new Spider-man movie today.  It was pretty good.

Hot and Cold

Went from 102 to 72 today.  Still hot in the house right now, tho, at 82.  Ugh.  And here things were going oh so well.

I got carded at dinner.  I'm still kind of surprised at that.

We'll be sleeping on the pull out again, because it's so hot in the house, and leave the porch open with a fan blowing cooler air in.  I am SO over this.

Declining Temps

It's kinda odd when you think that 83 is cool.  But there it is.  We had someone come over and give an estimate/bid on replacing the furnace and some other work we need done.  Going to try and get a couple more over the next couple weeks to get some comparisons and figure out where to go from there.

We had leftover yesterday for dinner, and watched a couple of Fringe episodes.  After that, we decided it might actually be cool enough to sleep in our bed.  Going to try anyway.

That was the high temp today - a record setting temp.

I went out only to take the trash out and put it in the garage, and it was hot enough to hurt my eyes.  I spent most of the day playing LOTRO, tho I did take a break for dinner and watched some tv.  We had burgers and hot dogs, various salads, and fruit salad for dessert.  It was just like a picnic, without the awful heat. :)

Have to go back to work tomorrow, and tomorrow night is when we meet with the furnace people.  Hopefully that won't be too traumatic.

Sleeping on the couch

Well, it was warm enough upstairs last night to make us sleep on the couch.  Not the most comfortable fold out in the world, but better temps at least.  I didn't get a lot of rest, so it was a short day at work.

I came home and just kind of mentally blanked out.  At least tomorrow I can take a nap in the middle of the day if I want :)

It's Hot

Yeah, it's hot everywhere, but I live here, where it's not supposed to be hot  And when it gets hot, I get cranky.  (I'm starting to sound like a DirecTV commercial, so I'll stop).

Might be sleeping on the couch tonight, because it's hot upstairs.

So much for that

We ended up going out and about today, even with it being so hot.  We had to go to a couple of used book stores to pick up some more books in the series T is reading.  We also stopped by a garden store to pick up a dill plant, since her other one died.

Before we did that, I played DDO with my friend in the morning (actually updated my DDO blog), and updated my main page image for July. After dinner, I updated my food blog with our dinner the other night.

We had homemade burritos and spanish rice for dinner, watched a little bit of television (a new show called Chef Wanted) and I played a little LOTRO before going to bed.  I got a title for my guy that I've been fishing with, "Trout Master".  I caught 9 different trout over the last week or so.

Since it's supposed to be so hot all week, we will probably not do much for the 4th.  We may grill.  Maybe.  We may cook on the stovetop.  As long as the A/C keeps going, I'm voting for staying inside as much as possible.
