Cold!

Started the day at -12.  At lunch I think it made it up to about 4 or so.  It was -1 when I was coming home, and yes it did snow.  Wasn't much, and was pretty easy to shovel off when I got home.

The drive home was pretty scary - quite a few spinouts, and I saw at least 2 crashed cars in the middle of the road.  I came across one icy patch that I just slid across, into the breakdown lane, where I could drive on the snow, instead of the ice.  It took about 45 minutes to get home - 15 miles.

I hope they get most of it cleaned up by tomorrow.  Not looking forward to driving to work in the same conditions!

The Break is over

Back to work I go.  I have Wednesday off, then not another holiday till May, which kinda stinks.

It's supposed to snow tomorrow too, which kinda stinks more.  Hopefully it will be light, and not the heavy stuff like before.

Quiet Days

Had a quiet Christmas - watched a couple of movies we've been wanting to see, had a small ham dinner.  Since I'm off work till the 30th, I've just been hanging around the house, catching up on some tv, doing a little gaming, trying to organize my comic collection.  I have to head to the comic book store tomorrow to pick up some more sleeves, and probably at least one more box to store them in.  If I can get them organized a bit better, I can regain some space in my office.

We might go view some holiday lights this weekend, before the cold snap comes back, and the high is a negative number. again.

I'm ok with the snow.  I don't like shoveling it, really, but I'm ok with it.  But this awful cold is another thing altogether.

Sigh

Looks like we're going to be getting a new vacuum cleaner for Christmas.  Not exactly what I wanted, but I guess we get what we need.

Lots of meetings, little of work.

Seems to be most days anymore.

I went to the post office in the morning to pick up a package, but the line was really long, so I decided to go after work.

The line was just about as long, but I didn't have to go anywhere, so I just waited.  Then they couldn't find the package.  So they're going to call me when they do find it.

First time this has happened to me.

Well, it wasn't a terrible day

It did snow during the day again, so I had to shovel when I got home.  Again.

My nerves did act up today - couldn't explain during the meeting why my feet kept moving around, without getting into the whole story about degeneration and all that.  Tomorrow is nearly a full day of meetings, although we are being taken to lunch for the holidays... that's something at least!

The Hobbit

Managed to go see it today, in Imax and in 3D.  It was a pretty good part 2.  The previews were really loud, though.

We also visited Walmart for a few groceries and Christmas shopping. 

Now I have to go back to work.  Can you tell how excited I am?
